Your Physical Security: A Line Item or a Strategic Investment?

A quarter of security chiefs said their company suffered a loss of revenue following a security incident. Companies with high single vendor involvement were less likely to have a security incident and were much more confident in their ability to deal with both internal and external physical security incidents.

The overwhelming majority of institutional investors agree that physical security should have a higher strategic priority within businesses. They are cognizant of the financial cost of security incidents: a significant security incident could decrease the value of a publicly listed company on average by a third, they said.
